This policy explains what cookies are, which cookies this website (fadeout.it) uses, why it uses them, and what rights you have regarding them. 1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site (or third-party services embedded in it) to recognise your device on subsequent visits and remember certain information.

2. What cookies does this site use?

This site does not use any first-party cookies. The only third-party service that may set cookies is the interactive map, and it is only loaded after you give your explicit consent via the banner shown on your first visit.

Note on Google Fonts: This site loads typefaces (Open Sans, Merriweather) from fonts.googleapis.com. Google may log your IP address when serving these font files. No cookies are set by Google Fonts, but an IP-address log entry is created on Google's servers. We are evaluating self-hosting these fonts to eliminate this data transfer entirely.

3. Strictly necessary items

The localStorage entry that saves your consent preference is not a cookie and is not transmitted to any server. It is strictly necessary to fulfil your request (remembering your choice) and does not require separate consent under Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive.

  • Withdraw or change consent — You can reopen the consent banner at any time by clicking "Update cookie preferences" in the map area (after rejecting), or by clearing your browser's site data for this domain.

  • Lodge a complaint — You may lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority: Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
